Edna Vazquez is doing a special solo acoustic set this Sunday June 14 at 7:30 pm. You might be the lucky one and win a pair of tickets! Edna is originally from Colima, Mexico but as a young adult moved to the Portland area. She is trained as a Mariachi (and sings with a Mariachi band) and has taken that background to develop her own material. She has a haunting, stunning voice and her personal charisma as an artist and performer reminds me of the fado singer Mariza when I first saw her at Hothouse before she became a star. Just a few minutes of listening to her and you realize you are in the presence of a very sensitive artist soul She is here to also celebrate Chicago’s pride week. Just touch or click on the interactive picture below to hear her music; explore her website, purchase tickets or join the ticket giveaway! Produced by Sylvia Hevia Productions
